Looking to improve how you and your organization approach performance management? You're not alone. Even seasoned managers find some aspects of managing staff performance challenging.
At this year's Massachusetts Nonprofit Network Annual Conference in October, Margo Kelly, a board member of Nonprofit Net, will moderate a roundtable focused on key issues in performance management. The topic has been a central part of Margo’s roles, both as a Chief Operating Officer and acting Executive Director with nonprofit NeighborWorks America, as well as in coaching roles including that of Lead Executive Coach at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government in the Achieving Excellence Program.
The roundtable discussion will include a review of common challenges faced by nonprofit leaders in managing team performance as well as tips and tools for conducting performance reviews. Come explore some of the methods you can employ to offer useful feedback, navigate difficult conversations, implement performance improvement plans, and determine how and when to let a staff member go.
The Performance Management roundtable is just one of over 25 workshops and expert roundtable sessions offered MNN’s day-long annual conference this year, which will be held at the DCU Center in Worcester on Wednesday, October 22. We hope to see you there!
