Celebrating the Leadership of Board President Laura Parrow

Nonprofit Net board member Laura Parrow is stepping down from her role as board president this summer. Laura first joined NPN in 2021, in the midst of the pandemic. Shortly after, she assumed the role of president, taking the helm from long-time board president Dennis Boyer. With a background in the banking industry as well as product management, Laura brought NPN expertise in financial and project management.

During Laura's tenure, NPN significantly evolved its services to support the local nonprofit community. It launched its Leadership Acceleration Program for nonprofit executive directors, which has recently completed its third year. Last fall, it initiated Nonprofit Networking Night, bringing together nonprofit professionals from around Greater Boston to connect with colleagues and exchanges ideas.

A testament to her dedication to strengthening local nonprofit organizations, Laura has also served as an advisory board member with Women's Money Matters since 2021, helping the organization to enable women and girls to build financial wellness, confidence, and security.

At NPN, we have particularly valued Laura’s skills in fostering innovation, creating partnerships, and promoting collaboration. We will also miss her humor. We thank her for years of leadership and her many contributions to advancing the role and mission of Nonprofit Net.

In July, long-time board member Dora Wang will assume the role of interim board president at Nonprofit Net.
