Nonprofit Net Kicks Off Fourth Leadership Program Cohort
In October, Nonprofit Net welcomed seven Executive Directors to this year’s Leadership Acceleration program. This year’s participants, the fourth cohort to compete the program, direct nonprofit organizations including Boston Explorers, Inc., Boston Higher Education Resource Center (HERC), Community Conversations: Sister to Sister, Elizabeth Peabody House, Mosaic Interfaith Youth in Action, Project LEARN, and South Shore Food Bank.
Over the course of the nine-month program, each ED will develop their leadership skills alongside peers while addressing a specific challenge each has selected within their organization. Through individual coaching and cohort sessions, they’ll question assumptions, explore possibilities, and put their learning into practice.

EDs participating in this year’s program represent a wide variety of organizations with a range of missions related to education and learning, healthcare, and food equity. They have a tenure in their roles of less than a year to over eight years. They manage staff ranging from one to 19 employees, and annual budgets of $132,000 to $3.6 million.
Regardless of missions or budgets, they find strong commonality in the challenges they face and many opportunities to learn from and support one another as each advances their chosen “performance challenge”. We look forward to supporting this year’s leaders on their journey.
